However, worth thinking more about are the statistics regarding teacher time on task and salary. How do you interpret the data? The bottom line: teachers in the U.S. spend more time teaching than our global counterparts, with poorer results. (Results as measured by math, reading, and science scores on standardized tests. Side note: a very “narrow” way to measure performance, as Sir Ken Robinson expressed in a recent talk.) With regards to teacher salaries in the U.S., are teachers undervalued by our society?
